TASK 1.2
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message about the planned changes to the weekend music workshop. I think updating the format is a great idea, and I’m especially excited about the possibility of guest musicians. Learning from experienced performers would make the sessions even more inspiring and valuable.
I would suggest adding more collaborative activities, such as group performances or song-writing sessions, where we can work together and learn from one another. It might also be interesting to introduce themed weekends focused on different styles of music, such as jazz, classical, or folk.
In addition, I think short open-mic sessions at the end of each workshop would give participants a chance to perform in front of others, build confidence, and get feedback in a friendly environment.
Overall, I’m really happy to see the workshop evolving and would love to see it become even more engaging for all members.
Best regards,

Question:
You are participating in an online forum for international students.
Question: “Is it better to study alone or with others?”
Post your response, giving reasons and examples from your experience.
Write 180–200 words.\n
Example Text:
In my opinion, studying with others is often more effective than studying alone, especially for international students. While studying alone allows for concentration and personal pace, group study brings many additional benefits that can improve understanding and motivation.
When I first joined my language course abroad, I used to study alone. Although it helped me focus on grammar and vocabulary, I found it difficult to practise speaking or understand cultural references. Later, I started studying with classmates. We discussed topics together, explained things to each other, and even corrected mistakes. This interaction made the learning experience more dynamic and enjoyable.
Group study also helps develop communication skills and teamwork, which are useful both academically and socially. It creates a support system, especially for students living far from home. Studying with others can also reduce stress, because you realize others face the same challenges.
However, I believe the best method depends on the subject and personal preferences. For tasks that require memorization, studying alone might be better. But for language learning or complex ideas, collaboration is very helpful.
