Example Text:
Hi Emma,
I just got an email from the photography school. The course has been postponed because the professor is unavailable. We can get a refund, move the course to next month, or receive recorded lessons instead.
Which option would you choose? How do you feel about this situation?
See you,
Alex
Dear Course Administrator,
Thank you for informing us about the postponed photography course. Although I am disappointed by the delay, I understand the situation.
I would prefer to receive the recorded video lessons instead of waiting until next month. This option would allow me to continue learning photography without losing time. I am especially interested in improving my camera and editing skills, so I would like to keep studying during this period.
I also think the school should provide extra support for students. For example, you could organise online question-and-answer sessions, share additional practice materials, or offer discounts for future courses. This would help students stay motivated and feel supported while the professor is unavailable.
Thank you for your understanding. I hope the course will continue successfully soon.
Best regards,
Alex Brown
Question:
You are participating in an online discussion for language learners.
The question is:
Is building a new library is more important for a school than building a new gym.
Post your response, giving reasons and examples. Write between 180-200 words.\n
Example Text:
In my opinion, building a new library is more important for a school than building a new gym. Although sports and physical activity are important for students’ health, a library supports learning, research, and academic success for all students every day.
A modern library gives students access to books, computers, and quiet study spaces. Many students need a peaceful place to complete homework, prepare for exams, or read independently. Libraries also help students improve their language, critical thinking, and research skills. For example, students can use library resources to work on projects or learn about topics that are not fully covered in class.
In addition, not every student enjoys sports, but almost all students need educational materials. A school with a good library can create better learning opportunities for everyone, including students who may not have books or internet access at home.
Of course, gyms are valuable because exercise keeps students healthy and active. However, many schools already have basic sports areas, while some libraries are outdated or too small.
Overall, I believe investing in a new library would bring greater long-term benefits to students and their education.
